
Heritage Open Days are England’s largest festival of history and culture.
Every September thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.
The event runs from 12th-21st September, here are some of the most local venues:
All Saints Cottenham Open Day
All Saints Church, Cottenham, CB24 8SA
Sat 20th Sep, 10am-4pm
Pre-booking not required. Look around and learn about the Church, and go up the tower to see the amazing view (weather permitting).
Anglesey Abbey
Anglesey Abbey, CB25 9EJ
Daily, Fri 12th – Sun 21st Sept, 9.30am-4.30pm

Art Exhibition: Wolfson at 60

Pre-booking not required. An exploration of new lands, new people, new flora and fauna.
Girton College Garden Tour
Girton College, Cambridge, CB3 0JG
Wed 17th, Thurs 18th & Sat 20th Sept, 2-3pm
Pre-booking required. A guided tour of the gardens. The tour lasts for about an hour and include areas such as the Old Orchard, the Fellow’s Garden and the Sensory Garden.
