April sees the start of Great Chishill Windmill’s popular programme of Open Days. Twice a month on the second and fourth Sunday, the mill’s friendly volunteer guides will open up the mill and provide guided tours of the historic structure. With three picnic tables and wonderful views, it’s a great place for a family visit. Opening hours for guided tours are from 10am till 4pm (last entry 3.30pm) and there is no charge – but we hope you will make a donation! 2025 Open Days: 13th & 27th April 11th & 25th May 8th & 22nd June 13th & 27th July 10th & 24th August 14th & 28th September
