Are you a mum, dad, grandparent or carer wondering what to do with your free time? Home-Start Royston, Buntingford & South Cambridgeshire need local people with your experience to become a Family Support Volunteer for their charity. They are looking for volunteers to help out at Family Support Groups, helping parents and children under 5 to socialise, learn through play and navigate the highs and lows of parenthood. Their next Family Group training session takes place in February 2026.
In 2024/25, Home-Start volunteers supported a total of 246 children, with volunteers giving an average of 3 hours of their free time per week to support local families
Volunteers say helping others helps to reduce their own stress
You could be the vital support a family needs to help change their life, and while you’re doing it, it might just change yours! For more information, call 01763 262262, visit www.hsrsc.org.uk/become-home-start-volunteer or email: admin@hsrsc.org.uk
