Foxton ‘Craft & Create’

Foxton ‘Craft & Create’ sessions have gone from strength to strength since they began, two years ago.
One of us usually demonstrates an activity for everyone to ‘have a go’ but, if they prefer, people bring their own craft to do while chatting and enjoying a cup of tea. We share our skills and ideas and provide essential materials. Our successes have included: beaded stars, papercraft, embroidery, découpage and a selection of greetings cards.
As well as friendly socialising, we have helped each other learn to knit and crochet and our current community activity is ‘Foxton Poppy Project’.
People aged 2 – 90, including the three schools in the village, have all contributed poppies to a display which will hang from the village sign during the Remembrance period.
Do come along to have a look at our creation, at the junction of Station Road and the High Street.

Foxton ‘Craft & Create’ meets on the second Monday of the month in Foxton Village Hall Pavilion, from 2- 4pm and ask for £2 contribution to cover the costs and the essential tea and cake! If you would like to join us, please get in touch.
