Village Days are back in full swing for the summer of 2025 and Cottered Village Day on Sunday 22nd June is set to rival the best with a full complement of traditional family activities with something to interest everyone.
The “Late Risers” Car Boot Sale is open from 10.30am – 12.30pm for buyers, sellers please arrive at 10am to secure a pitch. Buyers Free entry / Sellers £10 per car (no commercial). To reserve a pitch contact Alistair cotteredvillageday@outlook.com
The Village Day from 12 noon-4pm will take place on the Recreational Field next to the Village Hall with Free Parking. Artisan shopping stalls and food stands with locally made honey, cream teas, waffles, craft beer, fish & chips, you won’t go hungry!
There is a dedicated Children’s Fun Activity area with Face Painting, Crafting & Balloon Shaping plus a traditional fair games area with hoopla, splat the rat and more.
Other attractions include an Owl Raptor display, “have a go” church bell ringing and visit The Sun Yat-Sen Exhibition. Village day raffle tickets will also be sold & drawn on the day.
The Village Hall Bar will be open with the kitchen offering sandwiches & cake and The Bull is welcoming visitors during opening hours for food and drink.
The Family Fun Dog Show is open for registrations from 12.30pm with the show starting in the central ring at 1pm with classes ranging from Waggiest Tail, Best party Trick, Golden Oldie and Ball & Spoon Race.
Barking Mad Training School are running a free agility taster session with expert tuition with a Clear Round Class during the show. We have some amazing prizes to win including a free groom with Cottered Cuts, dog training session with Barking Mad, a trip to Paw’s Datchworth Playfield and a Pet Photo Shoot with Liam Hammond, plus Rosettes and prizes for all the winners.
