At Layston Grove care home in Buntingford, we are delighted to welcome Vilawan Hawkes as our new Home Manager.
With more than 30 years of experience in the care sector, Vilawan brings deep knowledge and hands-on understanding to her role. She began her career as a carer before progressing into management and holds a Level 4 NVQ in Leadership in Care and Management and a Level 3 NVQ in Dementia Care.
Originally from Thailand, often called the land of smiles, Vilawan brings with her a strong sense of hospitality and family-focused values. She is warm, kind and committed to leading the team with compassion and clarity. Vilawan sees every resident as part of her extended family, and her aim is simple: to help each person feel loved, cared for and truly at home.
Vilawan comments, “I am so excited to join the wonderful and dedicated team at Layston Grove, and I am really looking forward to getting to know our residents, their loved ones and the multi-disciplinary teams. As a team, we will work collaboratively with everyone, to continue to provide the highest standards of care while ensuring that we have a home where we all feel valued and like one big family.”
