A new website for the Cam Valley brings together inspiration for days out, information about the railway line and ideas for supporting local stations, communities and sustainable travel.
Centred around Foxton, Meldreth, Shepreth, Whittlesford Parkway, Shelford and the newly opened Cambridge South stations, the Cam Valley Gateway highlights attractions including Wimpole Estate, IWM Duxford, Shepreth Wildlife Park and Fowlmere RSPB, alongside independent cafés, pubs and attractions within walking or cycling distance of stations.
The website also includes walking and cycling routes, local businesses and hidden gems. More than 40 small rural businesses stand to benefit from increased footfall.
Visitors can also look out for the popular Rail and Ale Trail, highlighting pubs within walking distance of stations.
